On Saturday 3 July at the final evening of Africa Fashion Week, Layla Jeevanantham stole the show as she stepped out on the ramp as the much-anticipated winner of the national Face of Carducci competition.

Forensic attorney and single mother to two young boys, Layla moved with the grace and stature of an international ramp model as she walked down the runway. The audience, consisting of a-list celebrities and the serious fashion fraternity paused and held its breath as the solitary figure walked down the runway and opened the Carducci Woman Spring 2010 Collection.
