The ambassadors are local well-known personalities who are passionate about the team and want to show how much they support our boys in Green and Gold. Ambassadors include Danny K, Roland Schoeman, Jeremy Mansfield, Kurt Darren, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Slikour, Randal Abrahams, Vanessa Haywood, Roxy Louw, John Robbie, Ryan O’Connor, Marc Batchelor, Omar Henry, Ray Mordt, Kabelo, Layla Jeevannatham and La Vuvuzela.
On Friday 3 September, the Springbok Supporters Club hosted a special presentation at the Canterbury Store in Canal Walk Shopping Centre, Cape Town. Springbok Supporters Club ambassadors Roxy Louw, La Vuvuzela, Vanessa Haywood and Ryan O’Connor were all in attendance to receive their personalised Springbok jerseys and to back the Boks ahead of Saturday’s test match against Australia in Bloemfontein. Already last week several other well-known personalities such as Danny K, Kurt Darren and Roland Schoeman received their jerseys at a ceremony held in Johannesburg.
Vanessa said: “Why I am a Springbok supporter!? It is incredible that we have already won two World Cups and I have lived to see both and plan on seeing us win many more! I am proud to be South African and proud to be a Springbok Supporter!”
